The National Youth Services Council is looking to upgrade it’s “Sri Lanka Youth”
Logo, to represent the new generation and what we stand for. We believe that the best design for this can be sourced from the youth of Sri Lanka.
You can design the logo that will represent the brand of “Sri Lanka Youth” for the next generation!
Deadline for applications: 31st July 2023
Ensure you are eligible to submit a design by carefully reading the guidelines below...
• Submit your logo through the Logo Competition portal on the NYSC official website (nysc.lk)
• Enter your logo submission as a PNG or JPG file (under 5 MB).
• All submissions must be entered by filling in the e-submission Form.
• The logo must be uploaded on Facebook, with the hashtag (#mylogoforSLYouth) and the link to the uploaded post must be shared on the e-submission form.
• Submit a brief write-up introducing the concept design of the logo. (Max. 100 words)
• Submit your entry by the 31st of July 2023

2.1 The winner of the logo competition will receive a cash reward of LKR 500,000.
Logo designs will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• The logo must include a reference to the National Youth Services Council
• The logo should make a reference to: Youth coming together to build a better future for each other.
• The logo should be relevant to NYSC and in-line with what it stands for: Inclusion, Empowerment, Engagement.
3.1 Scalability
• The logo should be simple enough to be able to be scaled down or up and still look good.
3.2 Impact
• The logo should capture the viewer’s attention and leave a positive, memorable impression.
3.3 Versatility
• The logo should look equally good on the web and on print material.

4.1 Eligibility
• Participants must be between the age of 15 and 29 years as of December 31, 2023.
• The competition is open to Sri Lankan Nationals
• No previous design experience is necessary. The competition is open to all – from those who like to play around in MS Paint/Canva/Photoshop, to those that are designers by trade.
• Competition organizers and judges are not eligible for this award.
• Participants must be between the age of 15 and 29 years as of December 31, 2023.
• The competition is open to Sri Lankan Nationals

5.1 The winning designer shall:
• Eventually adapt the submitted designs during the review proces.
• Provide a high-resolution version in .ai or .eps format of the winning logo.

• By submitting an entry, applicants agree to permit NYSC and other participating organizations to mention their names, affiliations, and headshot pictures in connection with the competition.
• The participants of this competition grant NYSC the right to use and reproduce their submitted logo design and utilize it in NYSC materials without restriction or compensation.
• By submitting their logo design, the participants warrant that the submitted logo design does not infringe upon the copyright or other rights of 3rd parties..

Logo submissions will be evaluated by a panel composed by members of the Chairman, NYSC Team and stakeholder representatives, based on:
• Reference to “Sri Lanka Youth” and the National Youth Services Council mission.
• Relevance, Impact, Scalability, and Versatility of the design.
• The social media engagement (likes, comments & shares) of the uploaded logo.
• Entries accepted: Now!.
• Submission Deadline: July 31, 2023.
• Review Phase and Adjustments: 1st Aug – 12th August.
• Winner Announced: TBD.
