A Discussion on obtaining the sponsorship to uplift the “Leather Ball” Cricket in the Youth Services Sports Club was held between the National Youth Services Council and the Sri Lanka Cricket on 08.06.2023 at the Kataragama, National Youth Services Council premises.

It was discussed to provide equipment such as Matten, Turf, and Practice Bags required for Cricket and to provide two crores as grants for the construction of the Indoor Stadium by Sri Lanka Cricket. In addition, as the initial step of developing the Sports Courses of the Sports Club, it was also discussed to commence the Zero Coaching Coach Course and the Umpire Course.

To mark this event, Mr. Pasindu Gunaratna, the Chairman/Director General of the National Youth Services Council, Mr. Kamal Dharma Sri, the Sectional Head of Sri Lanka Cricket, Mr.Moris De Silva, the Coordinator of School Cricket, Mr.Aravinda Kulathunga, the Private Secretary to the Chairman/Director General of the National Youth Services Council, and Mr.Eranga Rathnasekara, the Assistant Director(Sports) of the National Youth Services Council have participated.
