Distribution of Sports Equipment for Youth Club Members
Marking National Sports Day, the event of distributing 16 sets of Sports Equipment for youth club members Island-wide worth 10 million rupees was organized by the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs, National Youth Services Council and the Sri Lanka Federation of Youth Clubs with the patronage of Hon. Roshan Ranasinghe, the Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs on 31.07.2023 at 10.00 am at the National Youth Center, Maharagama.
To mark this event, Mr.K.Mahesan, the Secretary to the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs, Mr.Pasindu Gunaratne, the Chairman/Director General of the National Youth Services Council, Mr.Shermal Fernando, the Director General of Sports Department, Mr.Jayalath Ilangaoon, Director of Sports of the Sugathadasa Sports Complex Authority, Dr.Athula Pathinayake, the Principal of the Sri Lanka Law College, Mr. Tharindu Naveen, the Secretary of the Sri Lanka Federation of Youth Clubs, Board Directors and the Directors of the National Youth Services Council have participated.
In line with this event, a Volleyball match between the Royal College, Colombo, and the Sports Club of the National Youth Services Council and a Cricket Match of the trainees of the National Youth Services Council were held.
